Do you feel awkward at networking events and uncomfortable making new connections? Do you miss opportunities to build relationships with new donors, community members and colleagues because you don’t know the best way to approach them at events? Do you have trouble ending conversations so you can keep circulating? We will cover the basics of how to work a room, from having the right tools to knowing the best approach to engage prospective donors and collaborators while cultivating community support. Putting the SOCIAL Back in Social Justice

Socializing for Justice (SoJust) hosts 2 socials or discussions a month in different neighborhoods so that left-leaning, progressive, social justice-minded folks can meet each other off-line and in person. We also cross-promote any social justice-related events we hear about on our online Calendar and encourage organizers to attend our events to talk up their projects. SoJust is not issue based and we never have a program or speaker. Just good people in the room getting to meet each other and make connections.

Since August 2006, when I co-founded SoJust, we've grown to over 1300 members, hosted almost 75 events and witnessed countless connections. We're building a cross-issue progressive community, network and movement - join us!
