Over the last year I've had the pleasure of offering my "Art of the Schmooze" training to a wide array of audiences from students and grassroots organizers to senior fundraising professionals and board members of national organizations. I've found a lot of similarity in the angsty networking-gone-awry stories shared by attendees. I'm dedicating this post to all those that have expressed how difficult it is to get into a conversation at a crowded networking event.
