Greetings ONEin3ers. I’m Srin, and I’ll be writing profiles on young entrepreneurs and other interesting individuals who are connected to our fine city.

Many of you work or volunteer in the social cause sector and may have met and/or heard of Robbie Samuels, a man who is the definition of a passionate social entrepreneur! Winner of the 2010 ServiceNation’s Boston Service Hero Contest, Samuels is a trainer and consultant at RobbieSamuels.com and teaches skill building workshops including his popular training the “Art of the Schmooze”. He is also the Co-Founder/Co-Organizer of Socializing for Justice (SoJust), a grassroots organization funded solely on member contributions that encourages people involved in various progressive social justice causes to come together, mobilize and socialize in the Boston area and beyond.

Socializing for Justice seeks Organizer Intern

Socializing for Justice (SoJust) is a Boston-based group founded in August 2006, that hosts fun social events and skillshares twice a month to bring together like-minded individuals working for justice as a means of building a stronger, cross-issue progressive community, network and movement. We're doing it by putting the SOCIAL back in SOCIAL JUSTICE.

Co-organizers are looking for an intern to assist in all facets of their work to implement the vision of SoJust. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to learn about organizing and movement building in a very tangible way. Join us and learn more about using in person and online social networking to create social change.

RootsCamp National - quick debrief

I've just spent a wonderful and exhausting weekend at RootsCamp National in DC with 1,000 fellow organizers and activists. I met many dedicated people fighting for justice all over the country and saw how an "unconference" works with that many people in attendance.

I was fortunate to have the opportunity to volunteer for 4 days alongside the talented (you should have heard them sing!) New Organizing Institute staff and trusted volunteers. It was my first experience working closely with NOI, but I had had a great time planning RootsCamp MA so I decided to take a "working vacation" and donate my skills in support of this endeavor - and I'm really glad I did.
